Chapter 3: The Birth of the First Monster!@@@@

Lu Yu stood in the gray space, resembling a mythical god-demon slowly carving out the boundary between life and death.

With a casual wave of his hand, the soul, shimmering like a sapphire, disintegrated into countless light particles and gradually merged into the Hellfire.

“Crack! Crack! Crack!”

It was as if fuel had been added to the fire. The flames surged, and terrifying heat radiated outward, threatening to incinerate everything in its path.

However, before the Hellfire could expand, a mysterious force restrained it in a confined space. No matter how violently the flames struggled, they couldn’t break free.

Lu Yu’s gaze remained cold. The yellow burial shroud, swaying in the air as if alive, slowly spiraled down and wrapped around the flames.

The burial shroud tightened into a ball, encasing the roaring black flames. When the cloth and fire clashed, something strange began to occur.

“Sizzle... Sizzle...”

Soft sounds echoed as the shroud began to transform. A yellow ribbon extended from its lower end, while dark red blood oozed from the fabric.

With the appearance of the blood, a malevolent aura emerged, as if a dreadful monster had awakened, ready to devour all life.

“So this is the blood of that unknown being. This life-consuming power is intriguing... too bad I’m invincible during the monster editing process.”

Lu Yu’s voice was calm as he reached out a finger, gently tracing patterns on the fabric as though creating a masterpiece.

But what he was crafting was something that would terrify the world.

The dark red blood transformed into paint, following the movement of Lu Yu’s fingers until it formed a grotesque, crimson smile.

The yellow burial shroud floated in mid-air, now bearing a sinister, blood-red face. It resembled a twisted Halloween balloon crafted by a deranged artist.

The moment Lu Yu’s finger stopped, a dark red halo appeared around the floating sphere, encircling it like a planetary ring.

At that instant, the monster’s data appeared in Lu Yu’s mind:

[Terror Balloon: Two-Star Level]

Abilities:

Intimidation:Innate spiritual suppression. It subjects all living beings facing it to mental intimidation. Failures result in endless fear, while even successful resistances lead to weakened strength.Life-Draining Halo:Absorbs the life force of nearby creatures to heal itself. With sufficient life force, it can evolve.Hellfire Whip:Summons a whip imbued with Hellfire’s corrosive and dark energy to lash enemies.

Rating: Excellent (Grades: Average, Good, Excellent, Perfect, Supreme)

His heart raced with curiosity. Though he knew bits about the awakened ranks, critical details were heavily censored. He couldn’t determine his exact level or the monster’s full potential.

Still, the intense energy within reassured him—he was no weakling.

If creating an excellent-level monster granted one-tenth of its power, what about higher-tier monsters?

Visions of star-consuming, time-bending creatures filled Lu Yu’s mind, making his heart thrum with excitement.

Even one-tenth of such monsters’ powers would be earth-shattering.

Would Perfect monsters grant one-fifth? Supreme monsters... perhaps even... everything?

As long as he continuously crafted top-tier monsters, he could rapidly grow in strength, eventually becoming the world’s mightiest being!

“This is practically cheating!”

Lu Yu chuckled inwardly, feeling no guilt about becoming a living cheat code. The sensation was exhilarating.

As the monster editing process concluded, the gray mist dispersed, and the Terror Balloon floated to the ceiling, emitting soft, infant-like coos.

It began to drift freely, curiously exploring its newly created world.

“Why does it seem like I’ve adopted a curious kitten?”

Lu Yu sighed in exasperation but didn’t restrain the Terror Balloon’s exploration.

After all, aside from the Monster Editing System, it was his greatest secret weapon.

“Knock... Knock... Knock...”

Suddenly, rhythmic knocking echoed behind Lu Yu, as though someone was tapping gently.

His eyes widened, cold sweat forming on his brow as his heart raced.

Because—

He lived on the seventh floor.

And behind him... was a glass window.

How could anyone be there?
