“Forgotten by the world...”
The commander stood frozen, hearing those words. Why would the world forget?
The world isn’t human—how could it possibly remember someone’s name?@@@@
Did he mean that, in a past era, this person once had unparalleled glory? But there were no reports of any formidable figure wearing a faceless mask.
Could it be from an even more ancient time?
But how many years had passed? Even the oldest of ages should have been washed away by the endless river of time.
“We survived!”
The remaining survivors gazed at the piles of spider corpses around them and couldn’t help but exhale in relief.
They had thought they would become food for these twisted spiders, but then, out of nowhere, a mysterious figure had appeared, sweeping away all the monsters!
Though the stranger’s powers were terrifying and mysterious, ability did not define character. Power, no matter how dark, was still something controlled by the individual.
A burly man sighed, saying,
“Finally, we don’t have to die. That was really terrifying!”
A young woman awakener excitedly exclaimed,
“He’s my idol now! I’m going to be the wife of a powerful being like him!”
Her best friend couldn’t resist teasing,
“You’re probably just imagining a future with him. With such a powerful man, he’s not going to lack for women. Even if you offer yourself as his bedmate, he wouldn’t even glance at you!”

Li Xuan replied, his words firm. But inside, he had another hypothesis that he didn’t voice.
He had just examined the twisted spiders and the Spider Priest’s corpse. It wasn’t just the bodily fluids that had been drained—their vitality and souls had been taken as well!
Such terrifying power was far beyond the Morning Star level. And considering the masked figure had not shown overwhelming strength, this being could very well have just awakened from an eternal slumber, still not having regained all of its strength!

Li Xuan’s gaze darkened as he realized the weight of the information he carried. He quickly turned and left, planning to upload all the details to his superiors.
Meanwhile, Zhou Zheng was tasked with overseeing the recovery and cleanup of Hangzhou’s northern district, and all the spider corpses were to be sent to the lab for analysis.
