Chapter 70 Back To Farming.

Chapter 70 Back To Farming.

After picking up the rare item the wolf dropped, Arthur headed to the bodies of the other wolves and picked up all the rare items they dropped.

"This place is a gold mine," He muttered, after storing the items in the rare backpack he had received earlier.

'Maybe I should try and see if I can open a legitimate auction in this game,' Arthur thought, a soft smile spreading across his face as the idea took shape in his mind.

"Alright, guys," he said, addressing his summons who had begun to gather around him. Borak snorted whilst Sylvaris started coiling around him sneakily, and Hank perched on a nearby branch.

"It's time to get back to work," Arthur continued, his tone firm but light. "We need to hone your skills, and we need to farm harder than ever. There's no time to waste."

His gaze swept over them, his mind already calculating the next steps. "There's no way we're slacking off while other players are creeping closer to level 10."

Sylvaris hissed softly in agreement, his silver eyes glowing faintly.

Arthur smirked, rolling his shoulders as he prepared to move. "Let's go. The grind isn't going to do itself."

Arthur threw his hands up again. "At this rate, I might as well start farming corroded rabbits again. Maybe they'll pity-drop me a rare item."

Arthur leaned against a tree, crossing his arms and sulking for a moment. After a few seconds of brooding, he sighed deeply. Discover stories with empire

"Alright, I need to calm down. Sorry, guys, I kind of burst out there. It's just... my dreams of easy riches and endless rare items were crushed by the harsh reality of this damn place. Sigh!"

His summons watched him and nodded in understanding in their own ways.

"Fine, no more sulking and crying about the loot. Let's just move forward. Maybe we'll find something worth our time."

Even though he grumbled internally, he kept his mouth shut for the rest of the trek. After another hour of scouring the forest, Arthur's patience finally paid off.

Ahead of them, a pack of wolves emerged, though noticeably smaller than the last pack.

"Finally," Arthur muttered, relief in his voice. He quickly counted them. "Three wolves? That's it? Well, beggars can't be choosers."

He glanced at his team, his mind already formulating a plan. "Hank, Borak, you two will take the lead. Fight the wolves and handle yourselves. Sylvaris..."

He turned to the massive serpent. "Assist them, but don't annihilate the wolves. I want these two to gain experience."

Sylvaris hissed in response, his tone almost playful as he slithered forward, positioning himself behind Hank and Borak.

Arthur stepped back, folding his arms. "Alright, go for it. Show me what you've got."

Sylvaris stayed true to Arthur's orders, keeping a distance as Borak and Hank initiated the fight with the pack of wolves.

...

The fight ended after around five minutes, as Sylvaris had to intervene, his massive tail slamming into the final wolf just as it lunged for Borak almost landing a death blow.

[You have slain Wolf(level 6)]

Borak had taken the brunt of the damage during their skirmish, his thick hide scratched and battered. The wolves had largely ignored Hank, focusing their attacks on Borak who was within reach, unlike Hank.

Arthur clapped his hands, stepping into the aftermath of the battle. "Not good," he began, his tone measured as he glanced between Borak and Hank, "but not too bad either. You guys held your ground... at least for a while and that's what matters."

After explaining what they could have done better during the fight, Arthur crossed his arms and sighed. "Alright, that's enough grinding for today. I don't think we're going to find another pack like this anytime soon."

He glanced back at the forest around him. 'The respawn rates here are ridiculously slow,' he thought. 'Or... someone else has been farming them. Well, either way thinking about it won't help.'

Shrugging, Arthur motioned for his summons to follow. "Come on, guys. Back to the village. You've earned a break, and I've got some business to take care of."

"Shoot. I forgot to summon Neko, maybe her luck might have helped me get another pack of wolves." He muttered, before using his talent to summon a portal.
