Chapter 728: Chapter 728 - Tenebris Rises

Dark energy swirled around Broken, wrapping him in a shadowy aura as he raised both hands to inspect his changing body. His skin, once fair, grew noticeably paler, taking on an ashen tone.

And then, he felt something.

A small pressure on the right side of his forehead.

He reached up, running his fingers over what had appeared there — a horn.

Just one horn?

Broken tilted his head, running his hand over it again, half-expecting a second horn to balance it out. But no. He had only one- a sleek, dark horn protruding from the right side of his forehead.

Interesting.

Pulling his black cloak over his shoulders, he summoned the system interface to check his full appearance. The reflection showed more changes than he had expected. His black hair, once cut to a manageable length, now cascaded down his back in long, dark waves. The single horn gave him a distinct, almost regal demonic look.

It was subtle, but unmistakably... demonic.

And honestly? It looked pretty damn cool.

A notification suddenly popped up in front of him.

[Assign a new name for your demon form:]

He blinked, reading it twice.

I can create a new name for this form?

So, when he activated his Demon Form, he could use a completely different identity? He could change his name from Broken to something entirely new. That... was a fascinating feature.

His first thought was to use Void Reaper, his secret identity when he donned his Grim Reaper form. But he quickly shook his head.

No, that doesn't feel right.

Void Reaper wasn't a name. It was a title, a persona he used when he became the Grim Reaper. But this form — this Demon Form - felt more personal. It deserved a real name, something that embodied its essence.

Broken stood in silence for a moment, his fingers lightly tracing the horn on his forehead as he thought.

A name...

Something dark.

Something powerful.

Something that meant something.@@@@

After all, this wasn't just another disguise. This was part of him now.

And then, a word came to him.

Tenebris.

The embodiment of darkness. The word itself carried weight - ancient, powerful, and ominous. It resonated with the form he now bore.

Yes?

Yes, this name sounds perfect. Tenebris.

Broken lingered for a moment, letting the name settle in his mind, testing how it felt on his tongue. The more he thought about it, the more certain he became.

It fit.

Without hesitation, he set the new name for his Demon Form.

[You have successfully set the name for your Demon Form: Tenebris.]

A faint grin tugged at the corner of his mouth as he read the notification.

The gamer tag hovering above his head immediately changed to the new name: Tenebris.

Broken sighed, realizing he needed to revert to his human form. But as he opened the system menu, his eyes widened in frustration.

The skill had a 10-minute cooldown.

"Damn," he muttered under his breath.

Careless.

He couldn't afford to wander around the castle grounds in his demon form. Not with the workers and knights nearby.

Ten minutes.

It wasn't a long time, but it was long enough to be problematic. He could simply retreat to the Moonlight Dimension and wait for the cooldown to expire.

Eventually, they reached Alora's private chamber.

Lionell stopped at the entrance, standing guard as Alora pushed open the doors. Broken

followed her inside.

Once the doors closed behind them, silence enveloped the room.

They stared at each other for a moment, in an awkward gaze. Despite the fact that they were officially married, everything had happened so fast - almost

too fast for them to fully process it. Neither of them seemed quite sure how to act, and it

showed in the way they both hesitated.

Alora broke the silence with a soft, amused laugh.

"Now we're alone..." she said.

"Yes..." Broken nodded. With a sigh, he removed his armor, revealing his demon form once more the pale skin, the

flowing black hair, and the single horn on his forehead.

"Now, I'm going to keep you company while you rest," he said softly.

Alora raised an eyebrow. "Not sleep with me?"

Broken chuckled at her teasing remark.

Without thinking, he gently placed his hand on her cheek, his thumb brushing against her soft

skin.

"Can't you change back to your human form?"

"In four minutes," he replied.

"Then I don't want this demon. I want my husband - the human version," she said with a

pout.

Broken didn't respond with words. Instead, he scooped her up in his arms, carrying her

effortlessly.

Alora let out a surprised laugh, wrapping her arms around his neck as they both giggled at the

absurdity of the moment.

"I'm the ruler of this place! Follow my orders!" Alora said.

"I'm your King now. You follow my orders," Broken shot back with a grin.

Without missing a beat, he gently laid her down on the bed.

Broken kicked off his boots and collapsed onto the bed beside her, sinking into the soft

mattress with a content sigh.

They turned to face each other, lying so close that their breaths mingled in the quiet room.

After a beat, Broken spoke again. "I have something important to do."

Alora tilted her head. "And what's that?"

"Checking the items I got after killing Focalor," he said, his tone dead serious.

Alora burst out laughing, pressing her forehead against his chest as her shoulders shook with

amusement.

"Of course. That's so you, Broken."

She scooted closer, wrapping her arms around him in a tight embrace.

And just like that, whatever intentions Broken had of checking his loot melted away. There

was something far more important to focus on right now.

He held her closer, letting the weight of reality slip from his mind.

Because, yes he couldn't wait any longer.

He was done holding back.

It was time to finally execute.
