Chapter 248 - Change Mind

"Julian, why do you even ask that? It could be that Qiara will take advantage of you!". Renata said in surprise, because she hoped that Qiara would leave the game world as soon as possible, but Julian instead offered to help and support her.

"It's okay Ma! Later she will stop herself if her curiosity is gone". Said Julian, smiling at his mother-in-law.

"How about Qiara, what do you want?". Asked Julian again, looking at his wife gently.

"Are you serious? Do you want to teach me to win? But, I can see from your face and expression that doesn't reflect a professional gamer. Then, how can you teach me to win?".

Qiara really doubted Julian who didn't have the look of a gamer. 

Renata was surprised to see how quickly Qiara's mood returned just because she heard what she liked to find a way out, but she also couldn't stop thinking about Qiara, who still had time to doubt anyone who would help her.

"Khem ... Mama agrees, your husband is a businessman, how can you play games. So, you can just undo your intention to learn to play games. Instead you ask Mama to teach you to cook, it's more suitable for women like you". Renata said while gently advising Qiara.

Qiara was annoyed by hearing her mother's words, which had been numbing her desire and even teasing her all the time, even though the person who had mocked Julian first was herself.

"Maybe it's true that Julian is not a person who can play games too much, but he has a friend who is very good at creating games and he is good at every game. Therefore I believe what Julian said". Qiara said when remembering Julian's story about his friend who was an expert in playing games. 

"That's right, I forgot. Oh yeah, are you interested in seeing how the game is made as well as how to play it? Or how to win?". Asked Julian.

"Of course I want. But, who is your best friend? Does he live in this city too? You have never told me about him". Qiara asked because she was impatient. 

Renata felt a headache seeing the behavior of the two couples who were quite far apart, she thought Julian was mature enough to face Qiara's childish attitude. 

"Tomorrow you will know who he is, then we should go home now because I have work to do immediately. After that tonight you have to study and pass the quiz so you can brag about it to me. If you can get good grades, then I'll take you to meet my friend who is a game expert, how? ". Julian said again with a smile. 

"Okay, I'll get a pretty high quiz score, even though I haven't attended college for a week, but I'm still able to". Qiara said excitedly. 

"Alright, we better go now!".

Qiara immediately nodded happily and couldn't wait to get to town A. 

After that Qiara and Julian said goodbye to Renata. 

"Julian, can we talk for a moment?". Renata asked when she saw that Qiara had entered the car.

"Yes Ma! What's wrong?". Asked Julian who always tried to take his time for his in-laws. 

"Well, you shouldn't support her to be a gamer. Because she's already a wife and it doesn't suit her!". 

"Mama, if Vania is still alive and knows what I'm doing, I'm sure she would agree because she really supports Qiara's talent in any field". Julian explained confidently. 

"But, she is a married woman. What should be learned is about fashion or cooking. Look at Qiara's appearance which does not reflect that she is a girl and a wife. I am always worried about you guys who might not get along because of her and Qiara's childish attitude". Renata was really worried for that daughter.

"Mama don't need to worry, I'm used to Qiara's good and bad attitude, so we won't fight. Yes, Ma, I'm leaving first because Qiara is getting bored in the car alone!". Julian said as he kissed the back of his sister-in-law's hand.

Renata nodded and smiled as she waved her hand at Qiara. 

Not long after, Julian's car left Qiara's yard. 

A moment later, Qiara turned towards Julian who was focused on driving.

"Are you serious about your best friend?". Qiara asked after a long silence. 

"Yes, of course. I wouldn't lie to you. 

"Is he handsome? Or maybe more handsome than you?". Asked Qiara who started teasing Julian. 

Julian was certainly surprised to hear his wife's question, he did admit that his friend's face looked younger than him.

"Khemm... Of course I'm more handsome!". Julian with a smile.

"What if I like him? Will you not regret introducing me to him?". Asked Qiara again while holding her smile. 

"Are you seriously going to turn away from me if someone is more handsome than me?". Asked Julian with a complicated expression. 

"Of course, I like handsome boys and sexy". Qiara replied who began to provoke Julian's jealousy. 

"I will not invite you to meet him".

"Hey ... Didn't you promise me, why is it changing now?". Qiara said with a frown. 

Julian was silent for a moment, after which he tried to think of a way out for Qiara. Because he didn't want Qiara to meet his friend, he suddenly remembered his mother-in-law's words that had forbidden him to teach Qiara to play games, he immediately agreed. 

"How about we change the game? For example, playing whatever you like". Julian said after thinking about it for a long time. 

Hearing Julian's words that changed his promise, Qiara immediately grinned strangely at her husband. How can he change his words so quickly, is her husband a traitor who likes to break promises just like that?

"Do you think I'm stupid? You're not a man if you don't keep your promises, you know if I get angry, then your luxurious house will be a mess because I will break all the things. I'm not an ordinary woman who is gentle and good at controlling emotions, you. know that right?".

Julian fell silent again and focused on the road in front of him regardless of what Qiara said.

Not long after that, he said. "Okay, I'll think again.. Maybe I'll discuss with my friend first and then invite you to meet him".
