Chapter 331 - What A Strange Boss

What a strange boss.

"Virsen, why are you here?". Rena asked after she stood between the two men.

Rena's voice made the two men turn towards her with different expressions. 

"Rena? Why are you here dear". Asked Virsen with a surprised expression.

"Are you guys dating again?". Nathan asked, looking at Rena.

"No. Apart from that I don't need to explain anything to you, because we are not good friends". Rena replied curtly.

"Honey ... Why are you rude to Nathan ...". Virsen touched Rena's hand, but Rena quickly brushed it off because she didn't like being touched by Virsen.

"Don't ever touch me, because I am disgusted!". Said Rena sarcastically.

Virsen clenched his fists, but he tried to hold back his anger because he was in a crowded place.

"Virsen, this is not the way to get revenge. You have to be able to get Rena back to destroy it together with Julian". Inner Virsen.

After saying that, Rena rushed away from Virsen's presence. 

Nathan and Natalie looked at each other seeing the argument between the two people, because they didn't want to interfere, they both went back into the office. Meanwhile, Virsen immediately got into his car to catch up with Rena.

Maxwell's villa.

Meanwhile at Greenhill Villa, Qiara was surprised after realizing that she woke up when the sun was rising, she immediately took her cellphone and looked at the clock.

"Gosh, I'm late ...". Qiara shouted, ruffling her hair.

After that she immediately went into the bathroom.

Not long after, she finished taking a shower and hurried to put on her clothes after which she left the room.

"Oh My God..". Qiara was surprised when she found a cute and handsome face at the door of her room. 

"Boss, why are you here?". Qiara asked with a perfectly rounded gaze.

If only she didn't know that Max was the boss, Qiara would probably go berserk. 

"It's nine o'clock in the morning, I'm here to pick you up for breakfast because I'm afraid you're sick because you don't wake up either!". Maxwell replied in a soft voice and did not forget that he also carved a smile on the corner of his lips.

"Oh, I see". Qiara scratched her neck because she felt strange about her boss. 

"Oh yeah, has the boss been standing here for a long time? But why is this place so quiet?". Qiara asked hesitantly, glancing left and right.

"I have assigned them all to find my monkey who escaped this morning".

Qiara was silent when she heard Maxwell's explanation about monkeys, her behavior is indeed monkey-like, is that what is missing now? Thought Qiara as she grinned at Maxwell.

And what made Qiara most curious was that she couldn't guess what Maxwell was thinking.

"Does the boss have monkeys?". Qiara asked after a long silence.

"A lot, do you want to see it?". Max replied proudly. 

"No need and thank you for the offer".

Qiara had a bad experience with monkeys, so she really hated monkeys.

"Maxwell Adamson ....".

The sound of screaming made Maxwell and Qiara turn their heads while covering their ears.

It's Kevin who just came back after being played by Maxwell.

Qiara panicked when she saw Kevin walking with a dark expression towards her and Maxwell. Meanwhile Maxwell stood quietly smiling.

"The strange boss". Inner Qiara glanced at Maxwell who smiled when he saw Kevin rampage. Yes, Kevin is just like a tiger that will kill its prey.

"Inhale and then speak!". Maxwell said after Kevin stood in front of him. 

Kevin immediately caught his breath obediently, immediately Qiara was shocked to see the strange relationship between the subordinate and the boss.

"Are subordinates allowed to shout at superiors? Are they always like this? Why do I think that Mr Kevin who is feared by many people is very funny and innocent at the moment". Inner Qiara while putting a little smile on her lips.

"Maxwell ... I was expecting, every time you were at the location everything would be messy. Didn't you promise not to interfere with the shooting?". Kevin said after he calmed down.

"Calm down! Because you will not get an answer when you are angry. So, don't get emotional so that the wrinkles on your face don't get wider". Max said without an expression of guilt. 

"Maxwell, you are too much. I resign from YM at this rate!". Kevin said irritably, after that Kevin left Maxwell's face quickly.

Qiara was surprised to hear what Kevin said, because Qiara knew that Kevin was the best director at YM Entertainment. He is great in all fields including having a good vision of the presence of aspiring stars. 

Meanwhile, Maxwell smiled at what Kevin said. 

"You crazy boss, how could he smile when his best employees want to quit".

"Why does the boss smile when your great producer wants to resign, don't you get along with him?". Qiara asked boldly after Kevin left in front of her. 

"Don't you think about the ice brain, you better prepare yourself for shooting, because it will start soon".

Qiara was again stunned when she heard what Max said, she did not expect the situation she saw. 

This is the first time there is a subordinate who dares to shout and yell at his boss, while the boss only smiles seeing his subordinate's behavior. 

"Come on follow me!". Maxwell said as he pulled Qiara's hand who was speechless. 

"Where are we going boss?". Qiara asked confusedly.

"Did you sleep too well?". Asked Maxwell without answering Qiara's question. 

"I only slept a few minutes, but quite soundly". Qiara replied with a little doubt. 

"Good then, it's time for us to have breakfast!". Max said as he accelerated his way. 

Qiara is getting more and more confused seeing her boss who is so difficult to predict that she is even more curious about Max's figure. 

"Breakfast! But, I have to shoot immediately. Besides, the boss has to take care of Mr Kevin so that he doesn't resign before the project is finished". Said Qiara who began to feel annoyed with Max's actions. 

"Kevin and YM Entertainment will not be possible to separate, because for Kevin, YM is his body and soul. This is the umpteenth time he said he resigned, but in fact he always comes back".

Hearing Max's answer about Kevin, Qiara just nodded obediently because she didn't want to offend her boss, while it was only natural, she would still maintain her emotions.

~ Dining room ~

Not long after, they arrived at the restaurant. Instantly Maxwell put a lot of food on his table. 

"There are so many!". Qiara was surprised to see so much food on the long wooden table.

"This is my cooking. So, you have to try. If it's delicious, then I'll be diligent in making it for you. But, if not then I'll make even better than this". Said Maxwell proudly.

"Really? But, how does the boss know if I like this food?". Qiara asked after seeing that all the dishes were her favorite food.

"It's easy for me, there's nothing I don't know if I want it". Replied Max with a proud smile. 

Qiara smiled strangely at Max's relaxed attitude and looked simple but mysterious and domineering.

"Don't think too much, you better have breakfast quickly so that you can immediately participate in the shooting". Max said as he brought a plate and spoon for Qiara. 

Seeing Max's sweet and caring treatment, Qiara's eyes started to fill with tears because she remembered Julian who had always watched her more than she thought.

"Eat!"

"Yes".

Qiara immediately nodded and started breakfast. 

That morning in Max's luxurious villa dining room, Qiara and Max enjoy breakfast. 

Qiara smiled because Max's cooking was really good, even better than her mother made herself. 

"This is delicious, is he a chef, how can a big boss have cooking skills?". Inner Qiara.

Just then, Max's assistant came over to them with a flat expression. 

Qiara stopped eating when she saw Maxwell's assistant arrive.

"Have you had breakfast?". Asked Max to his assistant kindly. 

"Yes boss. Now, I'll be waiting for you in your study!". After saying that, the assistant immediately left the two of them.

Maxwell looked as if he didn't hear what his assistant was saying so he just let him go.

Instantly Qiara became curious and wanted to ask a question. However, she discouraged her when she saw Maxwell's cold gaze.

"Just continue your meal, I'm going to my office!". Max said as he stood up and then left Qiara.

Qiara who was busy eating just nodded regardless of where Maxwell was going. 

Workspace Max.

"What do you want to report?". Asked Maxwell with a steady gaze and a very calm demeanor after he sat down in his chair.

"Mr. Ju investigates you!". The assistant replied firmly. 

Max smiled at his assistant's explanation because it was very funny, how could Julian investigate it suddenly when he was not in trouble with her though. 

"What is he looking for about me? Do you know?".

Hearing Max's question, the assistant began to hesitate to say it, because this was Max's personal matter. 

"Why are you silent? Come on, answer my question!".

His assistant immediately shivered even though his boss only looked at him sarcastically without threatening or giving a dark look. 

"Mr. Ju finds out about any women who are close to you". The assistant replied firmly. 

Max suspected that Julian would investigate him.. But, he did not think that what was being investigated was his closeness to women.
