Chapter 12: Phenomenon

[Four Calamities Fist Technique: Sky Breaking Fist!]

An extremely massive but illusory fist appeared behind Haoyu. The fist was adorned in a white gauntlet and released terrifying power. When it appeared, it hovered above the city like a bomb waiting to explode. Haoyu looked at all the panicked people below, some despairing, some running away at full speed, some calling their members and loved ones and some were taking videos.

He took it all in with a calm gaze, it was like he was looking at ants prancing about without a direction.

‘If Fist Techniques can become calamities, why can't my Ice Element also become a calamity?’ thought Haoyu to himself and as soon as he asked himself this question, he took out a flying sword and disappeared from sight. The flying sword was so fast that the Fist Technique which Haoyu had cancelled remained for half a minute before dissipating but Haoyu had long disappeared.

Everyone heaved a sigh of relief, some even hugged each other in joy and happiness but it they'd celebrated too soon because in the next instant,

BOOOM!!!

A bluish-white pillar of light shot through the sky and dark clouds gathered it in a circular movement. As more and more clouds gathered, the darker the sky became and the more terrifying it was to look at the sky. It looked like a terrifying hurricane was about to hit the city and surrounding areas so everyone panicked again.

The dark clouds then slowly changed colour from greyish black to bluish-white. Strong winds spoke about the impending doom that was going to befall the residents of this area.

Once all the dark clouds had turned bluish-white, a massive amount of energy descended down using the pillar of light and as soon as the energy reached its destination, it completely disappeared, only leaving a ripple of dust behind that spread far and wide.

A minute went by and another massive amount of energy descended down using the pillar of light and like the previous one, completely disappeared when it reached the ground. This process repeated itself over and over again for about thirty minutes before everything seemed to calm down.

The calmness remained for about ten minutes and everyone was now certain that everything was finally over. Another one and half hours passed, making it a total of two hours of the time that went by.

BOOOOOOOM!!!

A deafening explosion occurred, completely expanding the bluish white pillar of light by several meters as the ground was covered in ice. In just five minutes, the Primeval Forest was completely turned into ice, everything was frozen over.

The massive amount of energy began to descend again, this time with even more fervour and intensity. The process repeated itself for about five hours before everything calmed down yet again. This time, the residents dared not let their guard down or heave a sigh of relief because they knew that things hadn't ended yet.

BOOOOM!!!

“Why didn't you tell me that Haoyu was a cultivator, and a powerful one at that? And just how powerful is he?” asked Scarlet with a look of a wronged person.

“You never asked and I didn't think you were interested in such things, that's more like Jun Hie's style. As for how powerful he is, he's at the Qi Condensing Realm... Well, he used to be at the Qi Condensing Realm. As for how powerful someone of that realm is, I never asked.” innocently answered Jace.

“What realm do you think he's reached now?” asked Scarlet with a shocked voice and wide eyes.

“What's with that look, it's not like the Qi Condensing Realm is a big deal, it's just part of the Foundation Building phase. As for how strong he currently is, probably the peak of the Core Formation Realm if he didn't manage to break through to the Nascent Soul Realm.”

“Not a big deal?! Not a big deal?! Do you fucking know how difficult it is to cultivate?! I'll fucking tell you, I've been cultivating from an early age yet I've only managed reach the Third Stage of the Meridian Strengthening Realm. Now tell me, is cultivation easy or is cultivation difficult?!” raged Scarlet.

“Okay, I admit I was wrong. I didn't know that cultivation was so difficult, please forgive me.”

Somewhere in the world, deep inside an old and dilapidated castle, inside the throne room, a skinny figure with very dry skin sat alone on his throne.

“After so many years, a cultivator has finally been born and awoke me from my deep slumber. Will the cultivators finally regain their lost glory or will they completely perish from the face of this world this time around. Only time will tell.” muttered the figure.

Somewhere in a human city, a middle aged man walked hurriedly along the streets. He would hide himself in dark alleys only for a completely different person to come out after a short period. Sometimes it would be an old man, a teenage boy, a young boy, and all types of other people.

After walking for what felt like an eternity, the mysterious person finally reached his destination. It was a restaurant, he walked around until he reached the kitchen where someone was already waiting for him. This person then gestured for the ten guards to open the safely guarded door and he entered.

“Mr Shapeshifter, it's an honour to finally meet you. Word on the street, you're a very busy man that's hard to find, yet here you are, in my office. Should I say I was lucky or that it has something to do with the owner of ‘that’ phenomenon?”

“Think whatever you want. I didn't come here to play games with you. I came with business in regards to the pact your family agreed upon. Are you in or out?”

“Straight to business, I like that.”
