"Such a hassle," muttered Rocket Guild's guild master, Sylvie, a ranger class, as she grumbled irritably.

The two guilds currently facing off were the Rocket Guild of the Alfarion Empire and the Bone White Guild of the Betarion Empire. While overshadowed by the massive guilds Plan B and GG Crew, they were still relatively prominent forces in the game.

As the uneasy standoff continued, one of Sylvie's guild members approached and spoke to her.

"Guildmaster, isn’t it lucky that Plan B and GG Crew wiped each other out?"

"They're always at each other’s throats. That’s probably the only reason we managed to survive until now," Sylvie replied, smirking.

The agreed format was one-on-one duels.

Each guild would take turns sending out a member for a duel. The thirty-two remaining players would be whittled down to sixteen after sixteen matches.

While an all-out brawl would be quicker and simpler, the forces of Rocket Guild and Bone White Guild were evenly matched. If a chaotic melee erupted, not even Sylvie—ranked 28th in the arena—could guarantee survival.

"This way, it’s more in line with the tournament’s spirit of rewarding the strongest," Sylvie murmured, nodding.
