Chapter Twenty-Three: The Importance of Fishing Posts! The Legendary Trash Prodigy!

Sun Jun, an Awakened individual for two and a half years, possessed only first-tier Awakening strength. Despite his unimpressive power, his smooth personality had earned him a fair number of friends.

However, his lack of strength often subjected him to disdain. While he wore a sycophantic smile in the presence of other Awakened, behind closed doors, he loved boasting and showing off—albeit in his own unique way. His preferred stage was the internet, where he would comment grandiosely.

Particularly fond of commenting under posts about the Awakened, Sun Jun enjoyed giving lofty advice to ordinary people. Posts from those aspiring to awaken provided him particular satisfaction. Among his peers, he was just a rookie chicken; online, however, he wielded his might with a heavy hand.

“Without me, the keyboard warrior, the path of roasting would be as dark as eternal night. Keyboard, come to me!”

Today, as usual, Sun Jun browsed forums dedicated to the Awakened, hunting for intriguing posts where he could “enlighten” others about the harsh realities of the Awakened world. As he scrolled, he commented:

“Can Awakened individuals extend their lifespans? Of course! Stronger Awakened individuals can live for up to two hundred years, and with the right treasures, three hundred isn’t out of the question.”

Despite his low rank, Sun Jun was genuinely an Awakened individual and had accumulated some useful information. By piecing together bits of truth with a sprinkle of fabrication, he spoke with the air of a master.

Such responses, blending practicality and authority, naturally attracted attention. His replies garnered likes, comments, and even a barrage of “666” praise. Some users even messaged him privately, calling him “Big Shot.”

This flattery brought an uncontrollable grin to Sun Jun’s face. Feigning nonchalance, he left that thread to hunt for other posts, ready to bask in more adulation.

As he scrolled, one particular post caught his attention:

“Do the Awakened have their own forums or private discussion spaces? Their world seems so mysterious!”

A forum for the Awakened?

Sun Jun’s expression froze. Such forums did exist but were only accessible to second-tier Awakened individuals. They allowed members to seek assistance and trade resources, making them both convenient and efficient.

Still, did these Awakened individuals really discuss such high-level topics?

“Why were they cowering like frightened rabbits last night?”

Feigning ignorance, Lu Yu replied:

“Does entering the forum require exceptional credentials and strength?”

“Naturally!” Sun Jun replied with a smug smile.

“Only second-tier Awakened can submit their credentials to apply for an account. Once registered, they can post, trade resources, and more.”

Credentials?

Lu Yu frowned. With the power of two Morningstar Beasts at his disposal, his strength far surpassed the threshold for application. However, submitting personal information wasn’t an option. He had no desire to come into contact with the military.

Perhaps he could steal an account?

Peerless Genius seemed well-informed. Could he possess a login? Maybe Lu Yu could impersonate a girl, lure him out, and lock him in a dark room for interrogation?

As Lu Yu entertained the idea of such underhanded tactics, Sun Jun, lounging in his South District home, suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, as though a predator’s eyes were on him.

“Damn it, why hasn’t this guy replied yet? Stop leaving me hanging and start praising me! Don’t leave this Big Shot waiting!”

Sun Jun grumbled, growing impatient at Lu Yu’s delayed response. His initial joy was wearing thin.

After an agonising minute, Lu Yu’s reply finally arrived.
