we had passed by the ancient tribe, where zale talked to me for a few minutes. i wasn't planning too much time there since amelia couldn't see the tribe; it was hidden for her. nevertheless, i gave them zero's blood, and they made the potion in record time.

i knew that it had originally been to save phoebe, so i could only imagine that it was some kind of health potion that was ridiculously overpowered compared to the rest of the potions i had faced in my life.
in fact, i knew that it was superior to all the potions i had seen before because of the aura surrounding this potion. still, i would go to one of the many alchemist shops once i got back to analyze it. after all, as far as i could tell, no one could tell where it came from. they would only know that it was extremely special.
'wait... i could just show ava. still, it might be weird with amelia around,' i thought in the back of my mind as i glanced to my left at the smiling amelia, who honestly seemed the happiest since i had met her.
a huge weight was gone from her shoulders, and now she could enjoy life as much as she wanted without anyone ever getting in her way. i was a little bit jealous of her, but i didn't act like it. there was no point in doing so; it was better to keep things hidden from her for the time being and to carry that weight on my shoulder for a little while longer.
still, i had decided not to head back to the capital right away, spending some time alone with amelia. well, she had been the one insisting that we spent some time "off," as she called it.
as for the former slaves, phoebe was in charge of bringing them back to the human kingdom and explaining a little about what had happened to the king. i also told her to call me if anything went wrong. still, i didn't think anything would go badly. the king probably knew that i and i had managed to kill the son of a demon king, and he must be pretty happy right now.
