Chapter Vol. 1 Ch. 63.2
Their friendship was already showing signs of strain, and he didn’t want any physical contact with Wen Yang!
“Stop arguing, hurry up.”
“I can walk myself.”
Ning Chu opened the door and looked at the drizzling rain outside, “Is there only one umbrella?”
“Yeah, I couldn’t find the others. If I carry you, you can hold the umbrella for both of us.”
“Then you can get wet. I’m the one who’s sick.”
He shook his head again, his body leaning to one side but catching himself on the wall.
The discomfort from the fever was getting worse.
Wen Yang frowned, noticing Ning Chu’s discomfort, and threatened, “Come here, or I’ll carry you princess-style.”
“You don’t want to be carried like a princess by another man at school, do you? What if our classmates see us?”
Ning Chu: “......”
Ning Chu was speechless.
Last time he had a heat stroke, this guy had carried him princess-style without a second thought, and this time, it seemed Wen Yang would do the same.
They didn’t encounter any classmates until they left the building.
“Hold the umbrella properly.”
“Yeah, take it slow...”
“Don’t worry.”
Ning Chu opened the umbrella, holding it with one hand. Wen Yang walked steadily, trying not to jostle him too much.
The rain brought a rare coolness to the summer.
Realizing they probably wouldn’t run into any classmates, Ning Chu lifted his head, resting his chin on Wen Yang’s shoulder, looking at the light rain outside the umbrella, at the rain-covered world.
Wen Yang’s presence made him feel safe, causing him to take a deep breath unconsciously.
It seemed like his fevered body felt a bit better.
But he quickly realized his mistake, pursing his lips and reminding himself that Wen Yang was his main target of caution, not someone to feel warmth and safety around.
That would make him more vulnerable!
That’s a close call; he almost got lost in the protagonist’s tenderness!
“You haven’t had breakfast or lunch yet, right? After the infirmary, let’s eat at the cafeteria together?”
“Okay.”
