Chapter 409: You Are Too Indifferent

Noticing them standing frozen at the entrance, Long Yu asked, "What are you guys doing there? Come eat before the food gets cold."

Snapping out of their daze, Li Zhen and the others hurried to the dining table.

To accommodate everyone, Yao Ran took out three additional long tables from her space and arranged them together. With four long tables filled with food and the addition of 57 people, the spacious dining room suddenly felt cozy and lively.

Seeing them sitting quietly around the table and staring at the food, Yao Ran smiled and said, "Eat as much as you like. There is plenty more in the kitchen."

The sight of everyone eating together lifted Yao Ran's mood.

Recalling the memories of these people who had helped her in critical moments of life and death in her previous life, Yao Ran was filled with gratitude and planned to help them become stronger to avoid repeating the tragedy of her previous life.

With this thought in her mind, Yao Ran picked up her chopsticks and began serving meat and vegetables to Long Yu before helping herself.

Noticing her cheerful mood, Long Yu glanced at his brothers and thought, 'It seems Ran Ran likes them. I'm glad she is accepting them as family.'

Encouraged by Yao Ran's words, Li Zhen finally picked up his chopsticks and said, "Thank you, Sister-in-law, for the food."

Following his lead, the others echoed their thanks before digging in. That day, Li Zhen and his brothers enjoyed their first full meal since the natural disasters began.

After Li Zhen and the others joined them in the villa, Long Yu arranged for them to take turns guarding the villa.

Two days after Li Zhen's team and Li Tianyu's team left the military, the situation worsened, as Long Yu and Yao Ran had anticipated.

Just as Yao Ran and Long Yu returned to their bedroom to rest after their guarding shift, Shi Xuan knocked on the door and said, "Captain, A Zhen and the others just sent a message- they spotted a large group of people approaching."

Hearing this, Long Yu and Yao Ran exchanged glances. They put on their thick jackets back and took their weapons before leaving the bedroom.

When they stepped into the living room, they found the others intently watching the drone's feed on the laptop screen.

Watching him disappear, one of the team members scratched his head and said, "I didn't know Captain could fly."

The others nodded in unison. "Neither did we."

Inside the villa, Ding Jianfeng asked, "Brother Xuan, why didn't you ever tell us that Captain can fly now?"

Shi Xuan, unbothered by the accusatory tone, shrugged. "Ah, sorry. I forgot."

Ding Jianfeng was speechless by his flat tone. "....." Brother, you are too indifferent!

Ignoring Ding Jianfeng's stare, Shi Xuan picked up a walkie-talkie and asked the team

outside, "Do you need me to teleport you to Brother Yuan's villa?"

Hearing this, a burly member hurriedly snatched the walkie-talkie from the tallest man there and replied, "No, no need. Your teleportation skill always makes me dizzy."

Shi Xuan chuckled at his words and said, "Alright. I will send you the location of Brother

Yuan's villa. Follow the route, and you will arrive in five minutes."

"Got it." The burly man answered and then ended the communication.

Returning the walkie-talkie to the tall man, the burly man said, "Let's go. We can't let Captain have all the fun."

While the team made their way to Yuan Rihui's villa, Long Yu and Yao Ran had already arrived.

As they landed in front of the metal gate, Yuan Rihui waved at them from the second-floor balcony. He smiled and greeted them, "Brother Long, Miss Yao, you guys are here. Please

come in."

Hearing this, Yao Ran looked up and waved back at him. After one of Yuan Rihui's men opened the gate, Long Yu and Yao Ran stepped inside.
