Chapter 111 Orders from Above (1)
While inspecting the mansion's cleanliness, Kadram's elderly butler recalled his master's behavior from earlier.
Somehow, his appearance today felt completely unfamiliar.
There was definitely supposed to be a family meeting this morning, yet he rushed back, and his attitude seemed as if he had something to hide.
Moreover, he had brought in a head servant he'd seen a few times before and ordered that no one enter the basement.
This had never happened in the decades he had served his master.
'Could it be...?'
As his thoughts were drifting in a strange direction, the maid who had gone down to the basement with Kadram came up carrying a large sack.
Though bulky, judging by how easily she carried it, it didn't seem to contain anything too heavy.
"Oh."@@@@
Seeing her appearance, the butler realized his suspicions were correct.
Unlike her perfectly neat appearance from earlier, her clothes were now disheveled as if hastily put on...
Some parts were even torn as if forcibly removed!
Sensing the butler's gaze, the maid removed one hand from the sack to discreetly adjust her clothes.
"He said not to go down to the basement for a while."
"Ah, understood."
Though the Kadram couple took pride in their unusually good relationship for nobles, never taking concubines, it seemed that was ending today.
Sighing at the breakdown of domestic peace, the butler quickly averted his gaze from the maid.
Because of this, he failed to notice that the sack was about the size of a crouched person, and that the maid had grown slightly taller than before.

"Thank you for your hard work! Here's the pass."
"Ugh, the smell... just hurry up and go through!"
A cart reeking of food waste.
The checkpoint guard waved his hand in disgust at the stench that wouldn't become bearable no matter how many times he smelled it.
Turan, disguised as a cleaner, bowed his head and pulled the cart through the checkpoint.
"Whew..."
How many days had he spent in this magic territory surrounded by walls and barriers on all sides?
"Well done. Then shall we move right away?"
If they had been from the young faction, they could have just knocked them unconscious or persuaded them to give false testimony about their escape direction, but for the middle-aged faction, killing them was cleaner.
Having removed all traces that could be tracked, the two immediately flew south at full speed.

The flight speed of a heir-level noble from a great house going all out was several times faster than that of ordinary nobles, allowing them to reach Zabilin City, territory of House Berk, in just a couple of hours.
Instead of entering the city right away, Turan and Meisa landed in a nearby uninhabited valley.
After concentrating on the soul bond in that state, a black eagle soon landed.
"Bize!"
Perhaps because she was so happy to see her soul partner after so long, Bize chirped before untying the rope between the swing and her legs and flew into Turan's arms.
After rubbing against him in various ways, she landed on the ground and wrote out an epic-length message about how much she missed him and why he took so long to come.
As Turan, who was guilty of leaving her alone for quite a while, responded with "I see, I see," Meisa watching from behind burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, a man got down from the swing Bize had put down and approached Turan.
"Took you long enough, man."
The grumbling man had gray hair tied back and wore typical traveler's clothes.
From a distance, he could have been mistaken for Turan.
Of course, up close one could tell they weren't the same person, as he was shorter with a stockier build and completely different facial features.
Solif threw off his gray wig and said.
"Do you know how many days I've been flying around here on this thing?"
"I thought you'd enjoy it since you've always wanted to ride her."
"That's only for a day or two."
During the past ten-plus days while Turan infiltrated the Arabion main house, Solif had been flying around Zabilin City wearing a wig and similar clothes like now.
It was in preparation for them suspecting Turan of helping with Meisa's escape.
By avoiding contact with others inside the house thanks to Asiz's consideration while being seen moving about externally, Turan was hiding the fact that he had left House Berk.
"Well, never mind that! This must be the young lady from Arabion. I'm Solif. Nice to meet you."
"I've heard a lot about you. I'm Meisa... Ah!"
When Solif offered a handshake, Meisa tried to accept it but screamed in shock when the wrist slipped right out as their hands met.
