Lucas looked at the new guest of the shelter with various emotions. While on the one side, he felt good giving Phil food he liked and also pitied Phil at the same time for enjoying the meal as if it was the end of the world.

"Slow down, Phil. Nobody is going to steal it from you, if you want, I can bring more." Lucas said with a smile making Phil finally come out of his trance.

He looked at everyone staring at him with curious emotions, even he got curious and tried wiping his lips yet his hand just slipped completely.

That's when he realized that there was smoked meat juice all over his lips and cheeks.

He looked at the other again, realizing the fact that they were staring at him due to his lack of etiquette.

"Sorry you had to see that." Phil said while trying to wipe his mouth with his tattered sleeve.

"Wait, don't!" Haley stopped him and was successful, Phil just looked at her awkwardly for an explanation.

"Clothes are the one thing we don't get very easily so don't ruin your shirt. Here, use this."

Haley got a bucket that was kept in the corner to him and brought it to Phil who looked at the water with dumbfoundedness.

"You want me to waste all this water just for washing my mouth?" He asked with his eyebrows knitted.

The more everyone looked at him, the more they realized what would it feel like if they were not in the shelter, if they were somewhere else or roaming everywhere lurking in the shadows from the dangers that they now take as experience and fun.

"We have a canal that comes directly to our home. Water is not a problem here, please. You can use as much as you like."

"Yeah, I saw that river but getting there is very dangerous, so many monsters come to drink water there and the fishes look like they are out of a magical world."

'Is he serious?' Lucas couldn't help but be even more perplexed with the way Phil was going on and on with his thoughts.

It felt like the guy just lived under a rock all this time.

"Phil" Lucas said aloud making the guy look at him with a very sad face.

"Don't talk anymore, rest and get rid of that exhaustion before we talk any further. Aunt Ella, if you will."

Ella understood and she sent a small ball of healing that formed within a second and left her hand before Phil could even do anything.

When the healing entered Phil's body, his shoulders lost the pressure, all his body's small scratches and blisters healed instantly, and then came the big wounds.

Ella knew how hurt Phil was, both physically and mentally. That's why she sent out the most concentrated form of healing she could muster with her strength.

"I can only make him relax by healing his body, anything more can only be taken care of by him."

"It's good enough, Aunt Ella. Thank you."

Lucas smiled, he knew what was happening. Many others had realized it too.

The healing was so relaxing that Phil's eyes had closed completely, he had fallen asleep before anyone could tell him to.

John carried Phil in his arms and even then, he didn't wake up. All the exhaustion for the days on end had finally gone.

He had even started snoring with his mouth wide open as if he were the safest human in the whole world.

John kept the man on the leather piece and went to Lucas.

"He is too tired, Lucas. I will stay here for the time being so that if he wakes up, someone is there for him..."

Lucas nodded, he could feel the sadness in John's voice too.

"I will stay here too." Ella said and sat beside the kid on a stool.

Everyone left the room aide from John, Mike, and Ella.
