Chapter 257 New realm and start of the quest!

^"The only thing I can confirm is that all the dungeons in existence are located in this realm where you are currently floating. But it does not matter to you."^

Lucas listened to the overseer and nodded in response. It was a surprise to hear her robotic voice again.

However, he was also a little embarrassed when she confessed that she was here to complete her end of the deal while Lucas had totally forgotten about her.

^"You have been thinking wrong, Lucas Garde. I don't have much time so I will converse quickly. DON'T CHOOSE THE 3RD OPTION, YOU WILL DIE."^ The overseer said with great emphases on the last part.

'Die?'

It was the second time Lucas heard about dying in a single day. First his father and then the overseer herself.

'It seems these quests really are no joke huh.'

^"I don't know why you would think they are a joke. I don't even get why you started it in the first place. The 3rd option is out of your level completely. Even the weakest creatures there can have a fight with you for days and it's not confirmed whether you will win or not."^

'Uh... Thank you? Overseer. I would have chosen this option if not for you advising me. It's all because of this damn mark really.' Lucas said frustrated as the mark was trying to get in control even now too.

^"That is true, the mark can have that implication on the user. But you have surprisingly kept it dormant. Keeping the chaos energy inside the heart is a new method I was not familiar with."^

'Chaos energy?'

^"I said too much, anyway, the 1st and the 2nd options are the ones that are the best for you. I won't make the choice for you as this is your journey. I will be leaving now."^

'Wait!' Lucas shouted in his head which was weird yet he wanted to stop the overseer.

^"What is it?"^

^"Appreciation is unnecessary, we have a deal. It would be great if you fulfill your part of the deal too."^

Lucas could tell that the overseer had tried to be sarcastic yet there was only the robotic tone to her voice.

^"It was good talking to you again, Lucas Garde. Let's hope we meet again soon."^ Her voice started becoming distant until Lucas could feel that she was gone.

He had so much to think about, things were getting weird again yet for starters, he wanted to get out of this damn realm.

It was giving him PTSD and memories of that dungeon were coming back again.

'Saying that she said too much... was that a play? Did she want to tell me this? Chaos energy...' Lucas thought yet diverted his mind again, it was not the time yet.

When he finally focused his eyes, Lucas saw a wooden roof over his head.

"Ugh..." he groaned and got up which was also tough. It was as if his whole body was sucked dry from all the energy he once had.

Lucas looked in front of him and found a well-furnished table right after a piece of furniture he was currently lying on.

His eyes went down on his hands that were pushing the ground which was a little too fluffy.

"... A bed... hm..." Lucas instantly got up, his body filled with adrenaline.

He was standing on the bed now which made his feet smudge inside it.

Lucas jumped lightly and fell head-first on the bed which was so soft that he bounced twice before becoming stable again.

"AWESOME!!" Lucas shouted, he wanted tears to come out of his eyes. It was the perfect occasion.

"Shut it! You twat!"

A voice had come outside the room he was residing in.

Lucas looked at the man with confusion until he noticed the man's gaze.

Until Lucas did it too only to find out that he was fully naked.

"What the heck are you doing sleeping naked like this?!" The man shouted again and before Lucas could even react in this embarrassing situation.

His head ached as if it was split in half with an axe and he fell unconscious yet again.
