As soon as Chu Wuyao returned to the City Lord's mansion, she was received by a maid who led her towards a certain room.

While on the way to the mansion, Chu Wuyao had already used the Camouflage ability to hide her cultivation and show the 3rd Level of Qi Accumulation, making sure that no one would notice anything wrong.

Moreover, she had also sent the black cat back to the Devil World.

Chu Wuyao didn't care about her and walked inside, only to see a lone person standing at the center of the large hall, an old man with no hair on his head and a long white beard.

Chu Wuyao sized him up and was instantly able to find that his cultivation was at the 5th Level of Qi Accumulation.

Just like Chu Wuyao, the old man was also looking at her, sizing her up.

An awkward silence spread throughout the room, with the two staring at each other, until the old man laughed out of nowhere and spoke up.

"Hahaha, I didn't expect that there would be such talented people hidden in our Original Desire Sect.", he smiled kindly and praised Chu Wuyao, then cupped his hands and introduced himself.

"I'm Ren Zuan, the next City Lord appointed by the sect."

"Chu Wuyao.", Chu Wuyao nodded and replied nonchalantly.

Noticing her uninterested look, Ren Zuan didn't seem to mind and took out a red token out of his space ring, then threw it towards Chu Wuyao.

Chu Wuyao didn't resist and let the red token fly towards her.

When the red token was just some centimeters away from her, it stopped in the air and a 80% similar red token flew out of her pocket and met it in the air.

After a short flash, the number on top of her own token that symbolized her contribution points had increased, by about 1000 or so contribution points.

To be honest, Chu Wuyao had almost forgotten their existence.

"The sect has already investigated the case and confirmed that the information you reported was the truth."

Just like Ren Zuan, when Chu Wuyao stepped out of the hall, the smile on her face disappeared and she became expressionless.

Thinking over her previous interaction, she didn't find any flaw, as if Ren Zuan truly was just an ordinary cultivator that was sent by the Original Desire Sect.

But Chu Wuyao didn't need to find any evidence to know that something is wrong.

Since becoming a Devil, her already extraordinary senses had become even stronger and she was able to sense things that ordinary cultivators couldn't.

During their conversation, she felt a faint malice coming from Ren Zuan.
