After the body of the First Sun King was enveloped by countless dark shadows, a chewing sound soon echoed throughout this area and would make any ordinary person who heard it terrified.

This purple mist seemingly had a will of its own, as it exuded a majestic aura and struggled to escape his grasp.

However, the Holy Pope's hand was like a pincer and tightly held it in place.

While this was going on, the Demon Pope's figure flashed next to the Holy Pope and he lowered his head to examine this purple mist.

"What a waste!"

"Just like we originally expected, the destiny gathered on him is still not enough to open the Gate."

"We should gather the rest of it as soon as possible and make sure that the two of them don't escape.", the Demon Pope looked at the Holy Pope and said.

When the Holy Pope heard his words, his eyes became a little strange.

"Don't you think it is very weird for you to speak to me like this?"

"Have you gone insane?", he couldn't help but ask.

In response, the Demon Pope shook his head with a calm expression:

"Don't worry, if I had gone insane, you'd also be crazy by now."

As he said this, the Demon Pope turned his head and his eyes seemed to travel through the various landscapes, until his gaze finally landed on his target.

Without giving the Holy Pope any chance to speak, he rushed in that direction.

Only his last words echoed in this place and rang in the Holy Pope's ears:

Watching the Demon Pope leave, a confused expression appeared on the Holy Pope's face for a brief moment, but it quickly disappeared and was replaced by a determined look.

"Yes, you, no 'I' am right. We are the same person...", he muttered in a low voice, seemingly wanting to convince himself.

"Although this extraterrestrial demon is quite lucky, this destiny is not enough to open the Gate."

"Fortunately, there is still the Saint..."

"As long I get her destiny, my thousands-year-old plan will finally be completed.", the Holy Pope whispered in a low voice and his voice was filled with inexplicable confidence.

However, just when he finished his words, his expression changed.

His face suddenly turned a little pale, and he opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood.

At the same time, he felt a sharp pain on the left side of his chest, as if a hand was clutching his heart and wished to break it.

After she controlled the Holy Angel to fly some distance away, she suddenly stopped pouring energy into it, causing it to turn illusory and subsequently disappear.

When Chu Wuyao saw him, she instantly recognized that this person was the mortal enemy of the Holy Church and one of the three strongest people in the entire Inheritance World, the Pope of the Demon Cult.

Since Chu Wuyao could see the Demon Pope, the Demon Pope was also able to spot her.

After he took a look at her, he didn't speak any nonsense.
