Chapter 654 A Punch That Shatters! Devour It All!
Chapter 654 A Punch That Shatters! Devour It All!
The monsters were massive, each one approaching a size of nearly ten thousand meters. Their enormous bodies were strangely proportioned, with limbs that seemed almost too small for their vast size, and a massive, gaping mouth that ran through most of their bodies.
They moved by rolling across the land, and every time their jaws snapped shut, they devoured thousands, even millions of tons of material. Even now, these creatures showed no signs of stopping, relentlessly consuming everything in their path.
"First, I'll deal with you," Sterl muttered, a cold glint flashing in his eyes, before he shot toward the small island.
Soon, he arrived at the edge of the land, where an expansive sea stretched before him.@@@@
Logically, in temperatures that were likely below minus 100 degrees Celsius, this sea should have been frozen solid, yet it wasn't. From the surface of the sea, Sterl could faintly feel a trace of Ice Law, hinting that there was more to this place than it first appeared.
But for Sterl, none of it mattered. The sea was only a few hundred miles wide, and with his ability to traverse space, he reached the end of it in an instant.
Before him hovered a small island, only a few dozen miles across, floating above the sea like a forgotten land.
On this island, another Mother Body was rapidly assembling a silver-white barrier, clearly trying to do the same thing as the one in the Sixth Hell—isolating itself from the outside world.
At this point, the barrier was almost complete. Outside of it, several monstrous creatures with strong auras were closely watching him.
"Heh, you couldn't stop me before, and now you can't stop me either," Sterl scoffed, his tone filled with disdain. It seemed that the Mother Body's tricks had run dry. Judging by their anxious and desperate reactions, they hadn't anticipated that Sterl could gather such a powerful soul attack, breaking through the prison's barriers with lightning speed.
Sterl could sense their panic through the way they scrambled to protect themselves.
With a roar, the monsters lunged toward Sterl, but he paid them no attention. His mind focused, and with a single thought, he activated Phantom Purgatory, pulling them straight into the Purgatory Space.
Despite the vast difference in soul strength, especially with the enhancement of Soul Prison's Eerie Eyes, the damage inflicted by Soulforge Fire was now exponentially greater.
In just one second, he inflicted a massive 50% soul damage on the monsters!
When they finally snapped out of their dazed state, their movements froze in place. The terrifying soul damage had rendered them incapable of controlling their own bodies.
A few seconds later, Sterl repeated his previous method, once again dragging the five monsters—whose souls had reached the upper Divine Authority level—into the Purgatory Space.
This time, their shattered souls couldn't resist the power of Soulforge Fire, and they were directly refined into puppets within the Purgatory Space. Sterl now had five more soul puppets, all with Divine Authority-level souls, each one even stronger than the Silver Earth Wolves by a factor of two.
As for the bodies of the five monsters, once their souls were completely captured by Sterl, their forms exploded violently, turning into large amounts of silver-white secretion that rained down onto the island.
From the moment the monsters launched their attack to their complete destruction, the entire process lasted no more than ten seconds.
Throughout this, none of the monsters managed to harm Sterl in the slightest. In fact, they hadn't even come close.
"Your turn."
After dealing with the lackeys, Sterl turned his gaze toward the Mother Body hidden behind its barrier.
The barrier was still expanding, but it was clear that, due to time constraints, its depth was only about half of what the Sixth Hell's Mother Body had created. Compared to the pitch-black prison that had held him captive, this barrier was far weaker.
With Sterl's current power, this level of defense was nothing—he didn't even need to use his soul power.
Sterl was livid. A million souls meant a loss of at least ten thousand soul power points!
Seething with rage, he immediately activated Phantom Purgatory, forcibly pulling the Mother Body's soul inside, interrupting its ongoing transmission.
Soulforge Fire flared up, instantly spreading to every soul gathered above.
To Sterl's surprise, he discovered that among these souls absorbed by the Mother Body, there were actually three Divine Souls!
These were most likely the local gods of this layer of Hell.
This time, however, Sterl was filled with resentment and had no intention of holding back. He allowed Soulforge Fire to burn with wild fury.
With his soul level at an astounding 75, even divine souls were insignificant and fragile before him. Under the judgment of Soulforge Fire, they immediately took a staggering 95% soul damage!
Even the Mother Body's soul took 20% soul damage!
As for the souls of ordinary beings, they were swiftly refined by Soulforge Fire, vanishing in an instant.
"Too bad, still a bit short," Sterl said with a hint of regret, sensing the situation within Purgatory Space. The Mother Body's soul quality was just too strong. If he had been able to deal more than 30% damage, he could have fully maintained Purgatory Space and directly refined it into a puppet, leaving no room for any backers to react.
But as it stood, even if he expended all of his soul power, he could not directly wipe it out.
After two seconds of holding it, he released the Mother Body's soul.
What had once been a towering Mother Body now only contained its own soul. There were also dozens of ordinary souls still lingering, which immediately returned to this layer of Hell as soon as they emerged.
This was a small gesture of mercy from Sterl, intentionally leaving behind just enough to prevent the layer of Hell from collapsing outright—leaving a sliver of hope for restoration.
As for the rest?
He chuckled.
The Will of Hell had nearly trapped him in an irreversible predicament, so what if he consumed everything else?
As for the risks of offending the Will of Hell, if he had once hesitated, now he cared little for it.
With his current power, confronting the Will of Hell directly might not be feasible, but the Will of Hell couldn't touch him either. What's more, now it was the Will of Hell that needed him, not the other way around.
He then turned his attention to the battered Mother Body's soul. As expected, after leaving Purgatory Space, a mass of gray energy exploded within it. The Mother Body's soul quickly began to dissipate and disintegrate at an alarming speed, giving Sterl no opportunity to drag it back into Purgatory Space.
"I'll be waiting for you..."
Sterl's gaze grew deep and unfathomable, his expression as calm as still water as he spoke slowly.
At this point, the hatred between him and the mysterious invaders had become irreconcilable.
But... what was there to fear for Sterl?
