Chapter 107 Set of cakes

Once Rain had decided who he wanted to visit, he got up from the table and headed to a special place in this Manor – the main kitchen.

It didn't take him long to get there.

As soon as he entered the kitchen, everything in it froze and all eyes were fixed on him. The silence lasted until one of the maids asked with awkwardness in her voice.

"Have you come for the cakes again, Young Master Rain?"

"Yes."

Replied Rain, watching as the chefs packed two finished sets of cakes.

When he came last time, they said they were Celestia's favorite cakes, so his choice was on them.

Rain himself didn't often eat pastries, as they were too sugar for his taste, and he preferred sour flavors more. But the person he was going to talk to would definitely appreciate it.

When everything was ready, one of the maids awkwardly handed him two sets of cakes.

Smiling at her, Rain took them and walked out, leaving the girl frozen in place.

A group of maids, side by side with the cooks, looked after him and began to discuss quietly.

"When did the Young Master start eating so many sweets?"

"He asked me for it last time too... Maybe he wants to celebrate his tournament win?"

Noticing him, she quickly walked over to him. Her finger nervously tousled her long black hair as her eyes ran around.

Gathering her thoughts, she asked in an excited voice, her large eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Sives snorted, proudly sticking out her chest.

At the mere sight of them, her tail continuously wagged like a small puppy's.

It was so noticeable that Rain wondered if she was doing it on purpose. He even unconsciously reached up and put his hand on her head.

He tried to put the set of cakes back away.

"Ahem. I didn't say I wouldn't accept them as a small offering... Who knows, maybe I'll recover my strength faster if I eat these..."

He wanted to know how it worked, but he decided not to torture her any further.

"Of course. Recuperate quickly, there's a lot more to come."

As soon as the box of cakes was within her reach, she immediately picked it up and hid it behind her back.
