"Why don't you pretend to take the bait and go undercover?" Ye Lingfeng suggested with a grin.
Before Qin Lie could respond, Zhouzhou immediately shook her head, looking a bit unhappy. "No way!" She glared at Ye Lingfeng. "Sharp Tongue Daddy, you're just trying to get my dad in trouble!"
Hearing this, Ye Lingfeng huffed, "All you do is protect him."
"Then I'll help him myself!" he said indignantly.
Zhouzhou promptly clung to his arm, her expression tense. "Sharp Tongue Daddy isn't allowed to go either!"
Seeing her like this, Ye Lingfeng felt a bit better inside. He glanced at Qin Lie, eyes full of challenge.

Zhouzhou had no choice but to swallow her words, puffing up her cheeks as she hugged her little chubby arms.

Ye Lingfeng continued, "I can disguise myself as you and go with them. I'm better at fighting than you, so it'll be safer for me."

If Dad went undercover, he wouldn't be able to fight back immediately.
She didn't want her dad to get hit.
