Chapter 13: 012. First Demon Sigil.
The whole world shook and everyone was shocked, including Gilbert who was sitting on Aril.
While everyone was confused, Aril was focused on choosing something.
His mind was projecting 72 different sigils and the young man was only focused on one thing...
'I want the power to kill these two bastards!' Aril shouted in his mind and he got his answer.
"Marchosias, give me your power," Aril said.
On the back of Aril's right hand suddenly appeared the sigil of Marchosias and both his hands were instantly enveloped in bright red flames.
Aril's body suddenly became refreshed and great strength seemed to flow throughout his body.
Aril suddenly moved towards the raptor man at a speed exceeding the speed of sound and produced a sonic boom.
When the raptor man heard the sonic boom, he suddenly stared at the sky.
When he realized it, his body had already been knocked down by something and he was now looking at the sky while floating in the air.
*BHUK!
The raptor man hit the asphalt road so hard that it shattered the asphalt.
He couldn't feel his body, he tried to raise his hands but his hands were shaking from the pain that spread throughout his body.
Aril stood next to Putri who was only wearing panties and bra.
The girl tried to cover her chest while shedding tears.
"Put your clothes on before you get bitten by some mosquito," said Aril who did not turn to look at the Putri's body.
Aril walked over to the surprised Gilbert.
'What's going on? Wait a minute, what's going on?!' thought Gilbert who was trying to understand the situation.
Aril's gaze was filled with anger but he was breathing very calmly. His tears were flowing but his steps were firm. His heart was beating fast but his face looked so stoic.
The flames in his hands grew bigger and hotter, as big as the hatred and as hot as the anger he had.
Gilbert stepped back.
'Maybe he's actually a system user, but why is he showing his power now?' thought a slightly panicked Gilbert.
"Are you an (Alchemist system) user?!" shouted Gilbert who looked at Aril's burning fists as he continued to walk backwards.
Aril didn't answer, he just kept walking towards the bald-headed man.
'From the way he manipulates fire, his element must be the nitrogen, he's my natural enemy. I don't have the stamina to fight an Alchemist system user especially after defeating that bitch yesterday, I won't be able to win against him now,' thought Gilbert who continued to walk backwards.
Gilbert forced a smile. "You know, I was just joking -"
Gilbert's sentence was cutted when he noticed Aril who was suddenly appeared in front of him and had set up a sturdy stance and was preparing to punch the bald man in the stomach.
'Shit!' thought Gilbert who immediately covered his stomach with layer of complex carbon.
Aril threw his fiery punch with full force.
The man sighed when he saw the Putri approaching. "Do what you want."
Putri stood beside the man and immediately raised her right leg into the air as high as she could and prepared to crush the man's head.
The raptor man just grinned, accepting his fate.
*Bham!
Putri's foot hit the asphalt right next to the man's head.
"Why didn't you finish me off?" asked the raptor man.
"Although it was only a glimpse, but when you tried to strip me, you hesitated for a moment. Why did you hesitate?" said Putri who wanted an immediate answer.
The raptor man laughed. "You pay attention to little details like that?"
"Answer me!"
The man stopped laughing then took a breath and let it out. "Because I'm not interested in small children to begin with."
"Huh?!"
"I was just doing what Mr. Gilbert told me to do."
"Why didn't you refuse?"
"You don't understand. In this world, we must submit to the stronger in order to survive."
"But that bald man is a rotten bastard!"
"Hey! Don't insult him! He may be a bastard, but he's my life saver!" said the man who made Putri surprised.
*BHUAM! BHUAM!
The sound of crashing and banging could be heard and made the Putri curious.
"Did you hear that?" asked Putri.
"Mr. Gilbert must be fighting that boy," replied the man.
"I have something to ask you," said Putri in a very serious tone of voice.
"What do you want to ask?"
"Did you kill my mother?"
The raptor man was silent for a moment and the atmosphere was instantly quiet.
"On the contrary, that cat lady almost killed me. It wasn't me who killed her, it was Mr. Gilbert," the raptor man replied.
"Is that so?"
"Yep."
Putri was no longer spoke. She was now sitting next to the raptor man. Both of them just stayed in place without saying a word.
Both were just silent and waiting for the outcome of the fierce battle that could be heard in the distance.
