“I am not a noble,” Claude replied plainly.

“Ah... I see,” Perain muttered, his expression slightly souring.

At Claude’s command, the Fenris administrators stormed into the royal palace with soldiers, sifting through documents without restraint.

Claude had returned to Ceyron with every intention of overturning it. Ghislain, fully aware of his circumstances, had handed him full authority and stepped back.
